Milwaukee Tool today unveiled the fifth generation of its M18 FUEL platform, promising a 25% torque improvement over the previous generation while maintaining backward compatibility with the existing M18 battery ecosystem.

The Gen 5 POWERSTATE motors use a redesigned stator and rotor geometry to extract more power from the same 18V cell chemistry. Milwaukee says the drill will be available starting September 2026 at existing price points.
